Wordless Wednesday

6 comments:

  1. Daisy, very creative with breakfast. I'm afraid I'm not so creative when it comes to food. The standard meat, potatoes, and corn are the staples of this Nebraska bachelor. I like the cast iron skillet and use mine practically every day. They are the best to cook with, don't you think? I bought a set way back in 1979 that I still use today. No worries about handles coming loose or Teflon flaking off. Then I inherited a whole set including a dutch oven from my daughter's ex husband's family. I did have a griddle but gave it away as it just didn't fit my stove. The best ever place to look for cast iron is thrift stores and garage sales. Most modern day folks don't like to cook with cast iron.

Have a great wordless Wednesday day.

    1. I love, love, love my cast iron skillet and use it often, as I am low in iron and it helps with that. The best part of using it is that it reminds me of my mom, since it was hers. Enjoy whatever you get to eat today!

  2. ACK!
I miss eggs. Found out I was allergic to them. And Wheat. And Dairy. It's been a hellish week around here. I'm in a state of denial (and anger). I have to go 8 weeks without, then the Dr. will start adding in things bit by bit.

    1. Oh, do I feel your pain. I took myself off all of that and more at the beginning of the year and it was not pretty! Fortunately, there are decent substitutes now. I know it's not the same as the real deal, but it'll get you through! Let me know if you need any recipes!
